Philosopher Rene Descartes penned the entitled, “The Passions of the Soul,” writing about experiences leading to intense emotions; ones human beings both suffer and endure.
In very particular order:
Decartes told us everything else we experience in relation to emotions is either a derivative or a combination of these ‘passions.’ Finally, once we explore and process what these sensations mean to use we need to learn to control them.
Why control your passions? Well, it seems they cloud one’s ability to make rational judgements. All while keeping a healthy separation between your physical body and your thinking mind/soul.
